You might have to wait awhile for the right person to log on and see it. Or it could end up no one here has seen it before and knows that signature/mark.

I did try Google for Fgnus (that's what it looks like to me) and got nuthin'.

Are there letters on the rim above the signature ? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me . The grayish cast to the glass plus all the bubbles make me question the quality , but thats just what I can get from a photo . Ive tried every variation on that signature too , nothing so far .

    Me too.
I googled looking for history of, who made and fanus art glass. Didn't get any response. Only general French glass makers and one stain glass artist.

This would make me leery as to the actual age. However it is a lovely piece.

I also searched Fanus and came up with more examples but none very similar to yours. All seemed to attribute this glass to 1930s France. None was terribly expensive. Odd that there is not more information.

I'd buy it for $100 but not with hefty shipping costs. Nice lump: more Art Nouveau than Deco, so transitional. It's like many other contemporaneous French glassmakers, who channelled Rene a bit.
