1931 Irwin Hoffman Latin American Woman Etching

    Is she Mexican or other Latin American? The artist spent some time in the early 30's in those regions.

    Title is "Negress" an antiquated term for a female of African heritage. She could be from most anywhere.

    Lovely. Of course, there are people of African descent in many South American countries but nothing particularly "latin" about your print. Think she may be the same model he used here (http://www.mutualart.com/Artist/Irwin-Hoffman/5DA9E91D2E107964/Artworks) in "The Green Polka Dot Blouse" which was painted in 1940. Take a look and see what you think.
