Especially sets, or buttons with designs carved into them. Cut steel buttons too, or shoe buckles. You never know what someone stashed in a pile of old buttons. Diamond jewelry has turned up that way. I got gold once buying a pin cushion, so check those too. More than once, come to think. Pin cushions sometimes attract stick pins too, and some of those ... bingo.

I trade some to a local dealer sometimes. Knitters love old sets.

It's been quite a while since I posted any "finds" but I finally have a couple from an "antique dealer's overflow sale" yesterday (at his home, not his store.) Price tags from the store were still attached with multiple reductions taken before ending up in the overflow. In one case I paid about 10% of what he had been asking, in the other case, about 25%.

4.5 x 4.5 inch Delft Tile, marked (but I'll be asking about the mark in PGP)

A Robert Bonfils "pochoir print" from the 1922 edition of La Gazette du Bon Ton. Not the most attractive "model" but I really liked the overall look. Definitely removed from the magazine and properly secured to board with archival tape at the top only. I need to have this framed. Examples on eBay start at around $50. I paid 5!

Following up since there was interest especially with the Lucys.
The event was great, food and music were great and there were a number of cars I hadn't seen before which is always nice.
She loved all three sets and especially the Lucys. :) So much so she gave me a full lip kiss!!! OH MY! I was waiting to be clobbered in the back of the head but I don't think hubby saw her do that. :)
I think she liked them. :)

Since I mentioned them here are the 3 sets I dropped off at work for her week before last.
The next 2 sets are from some time ago. I've forgotten to shoot others. :(

I've also got a whole pile of Stuff for free this week. One of my usual markets had a mega summer clear out on - things for a quid, and box upon box of freebies.
