Embroidery any info?

Bought this embroidery and have framed it. Approx 195mmx 270mm. It is stitched into the back the year 1818. Bought from a lady in Norway, said it was her great grandmothers and that she had an interest in Norwegian and foreign embroidery. Can anyone tell me anything about it (design, style, is it Scandinavian or otherwise)?

Alex, that looks like a 1st half 20th century machine-made piece. Don't see any handwork. A photograph of the back will be helpful.

Yep. Seconded. Nothing Scandinavian about that in the slightest. I've found a bunch of them here.

 

I'm in agreement. Pretty as it is; it looks like pieces that were popular in the 20's and 30's. I have a few of them myself. One is marked "Belgian".
