thoughts on if this is a cannonball

    I thought glacial pothole stones were essentially naturally tumbled stones, they have softened edges and can be roundish, they not so often a nice spherical shape, but more often a slightly oblong shape. I'm not saying they can't be though, just not commonly a good actual spherical shape as opposed to a hand-carved sphere.

    ? civil war canon balls 12 or 18 pounds not sure about other dates

    Yeah they seem to be stone, I tried a few magnets and nothing is sticking. I’m not sure on where it was found

    Not a cannon ball.. i found out it is a tumbling rock from rankin inlet.

    Tumbling rocks? Rocks that are so hard that they are used to tumble other rocks to make them smooth?

    Well, maybe they were 17thC cannon balls that tumbled down! :happy:
