Im hoping someone will be able to help me identify this truly hideous art glass candlestick so I can move it on to an enthusiastic collector :hilarious: or to a dark cupboard.
It is signed but not distinct and it's the devil to photograph (any tips?).
It was suggested it looks like a butterfly and I'm keeping to myself what OH thought it looked like .
I don't want to sway what you see but *possibly* the first word is Ursula, the second starts with an R and the third word underneath is Javez but that could be completely wrong.
    Any help welcome.

So you shove a candle in then light it. It dribbles all over the table and sets your house on fire.:wideyed::wideyed:

How did this stand up or was it supposed to hang on the wall? If so, maybe it was for a few posies?
Doesn't look like a candle holder - would catch house on fire!

The word underneath, I think, is 2002

Can you show us how it looks with a candle in it? I see a potential firefly/moth thing, but was wondering why the rim around it was so thick?

It used to hold one of those battery operated lights, and it is a lighted door stop, of course.

I usually refrain from commenting about an object's attractiveness or lack thereof, but, in this case, I don't see the artist's name mattering except to close relatives or personal friends.

Come on guys, focus on the signature not what it looks like as it definitely looks like a butterfly to me........definitely........nothing else.......oh, who am I kidding and what was the artist thinking?!.
That's what I want to hear :hilarious:
So it's come of age and is definitely vintage- good selling point.

Not to be picky but I believe this example (of fine artwork)to be a moth because its abdomen is far below the base of the wing. Whereas the butterfly usually has two sets/sections of wings the extend below the body. :shy:
