So I have this lovely engraving of the Maison Carree in Nimes, France. There are apparently only 50 of these (this is number 42), and it is by an artist called A. David Fontanges. I can't really find too much about him or this picture, so I'm wondering if anyone can't help me. Thanks in advance for your help.

@Debora Yes, it has also been used for postcards.

I haven't seen any other engravings, though.

No help really, but I suspect it's a hyphenated name... David-something. Not at all sure the first letter is F, and the ending may be 'noyes'. Looks nice to me. How big is it? Could be a better than average souvenir.

If you do an image search of google.fr, other engravings by the artist will appear.

Bits of information from the (French) internet: The artist's full name is Aimé David-Fontagnes. He was born in Algeria. And the work dates to 1972.

The print market, as far as I can tell, is dead in the water. You will see fanciful asking prices, but not much seems to actually sell, apart from giclee reproductions which sometimes cost more than the price of an 18th C original

I have half a dozen of the late 17th C prints offered by this selller for $550 each that I have not been able to sell for a tenth of that price.
