Featured Vaseline satin glass - ring holder or lemon server?

Anyone recognize this? It measures 3.75" diameter & 3.25" tall. It has a 6-sided column stem. The Sue Davis vaseline glass book shows a similar shaped item by Fenton in Topaz Iridescent (stretch glass) that is labelled a lemon server, which is a little wider and shorter. There are several of those also listed on eBay.

I've also searched the chatabout gallery and a couple of EAPG sites looking for the same in the topaz and canary colors. Did this color have other names I'm forgetting? Thanks!

 

Anyone I've ever seen was a ring holder, but that's also not saying I was right or they were using it correctly!!!!

Thanks - ring holder was also my first impression. It doesn't have much of a knob at the top, but enough to make me wonder if it might be something similar to this:

IMHO, couldn't be anything else but a ring holder. The shape is a little odd, however. Can't think who made it.

 

I had to look up the lemon holder thingybut I did not find one What is it?
