    IMG-20160727-WA0006.jpg 20160727_135503.jpg Hello there :),

My mum has this figurine of two old drunken fellas. It was my nan's originally. She's tried to sell previously and been advised that it could be worth something, so I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about them? I don't even know what they're made of.

I've shown the signature too, it may be 'Gargiulo' but I'm not sure.

Very grateful beforehand for any help, thank you :)

Because of the bubbles on the surface I'm thinking they're probably resin of some sort.

Do you have a photo of the bottom?

There are some of these on google images as F. Fragargiola, but I have no idea if that is correct, since that is the only place I found this name.

There are currently a number of these examples on ebay selling for $15.00 each. The sellers all claim that the sculptor is " F. Fragargiola", however, no artist by that name can be found on any Italian internet site or in any art book.
Say-It-Slowly is correct in stating that she thought the piece was made of a resin. This type of resin is sometimes called cold cast porcelain. Except for some porcelain dust added to the resin material the statue is made of the same stuff as plastic model planes and cars.
So, the artist is essentially an unknown and the figurine isn't sculpted or made of porcelain but rather just liquid plastic poured into a mold. I don't believe it will ever increase in value or collectibility.
Below is a link to my article about these plastic models in today's market.
