I don't know what to call it but I bought it. It is 9" long and 7" tall
All made of wood with no nails. Moving wheel inside with metal crank. Asian writing and I'm not sure Japanese or Chinese or?
Anyone know what it might be?

I think bamboo, rather than wood.

Looks like a Japanese/Chinese rice thresher.

Maybe meant to be in a garden, with water flowing into it and then on into a little pond? Just a guess!

    It's a wind-winnowing machine,just though thresher for some reason.

But being from Colorado and the seller in the link I posted is in Utah, of course we thought it a sluice.

But it really didn't look like a wet or dry gold sluice.

No, more like a wash plant.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I wonder whether it's a toy? Or something else?

More a scale model than a toy I think.
