    It's worth stating that "Oriental" as a term was used for anything the tiniest bit foreign. And those who designed the transfers were working from sketches of dubious veracity: they'd never been outside their own towns, often. So the architecture, costumes, and so on can be a right buggers' muddle.

    There are groups that specialize in British transferware. I think there is one on FaceBook. But the boardies here have nailed down the date for you and come up with possible names for the pattern. Also, it might be part of a transfer pattern as it is on a small item.
