Hello all I need some help with my antique koken. I'm seeking info on the year so I can fully restore my koken back to the beautiful chair it should be. I can not find a model number any where or any other markings other than on the foot plate where it says koken... If anyone knows anything about the year of this chair please don't hesitate to comment. All info is greatly appreciated. [IMG]

I'm sorry but I do not understand the meaning of a "koken" chair. I am curious about the chair. ;)

Do you think it is a "barber's" chair (cutting hair/shaving face, etc.) or is it a "dental" chair for a patient in a dentist's office?

Koken is the brand. Looks circa 1920 but may have been made the same way for a lot of years.

I'm not sure if it's barber's chair or dental chair it may have been both. I got it from a friend my intention is to use it as a barber's chair because that is the field I am going into. Trying to find the year so I can find the schematics on it for when I start pulling it apart. I want to make it look like it did when it came out. In whatever year that was lol. As I said I can not find any model number or anything else I already know the history of the koken chair. It states it was a barber's chair. But I have had no luck finding any model number or anything else

Only pieces missing is the tray an the handle to make it recline if mine even does recline. So far I haven't figured out how to make it recline because I think that piece is missing. Hydraulics still work on it. Still lifts up an down which is a huge plus just need the year so I can look further into the other parts I will need along with how to restore it all. She has potential to be beautiful again she just needs some serious TLC
