    6 & 7/8 inches diameter. 2 & 1/4 inches ht.
Every other tab around the edge of the bowl is crimped.
Does anyone know the glass maker and pattern name if it's not simply 'Nasturtium'?

    Thankyou!

    Hi Laura,
Great bowl, as to names. Westmoreland has a latticed plate called For get not. FGN's have 5 petals and the plate has 4 petals which match Lanaria to a tee. I guess
FGN sounds better. Same as your bowl Morning Glory sounds better than Nasturtium. I love to eat Nasturtiums in a salad, they are so peppery and pretty.

the original patterns is shown as "Intaglio Morning Glory" at EAPGpatterns; by Dugan in 1906. Agreed the flower motif is actually nasturtiums; but then names given/assigned were for marketing purposes; also often the original name isn't known.

Idle question here: for the condition of the paint, might it be beneficial to strip what's there and sell as a piece of clear pressed glass?

It's my understanding that patterns colored in Goffus style were also available without the coloring.

not sure paint or no paint would impact resale of the pattern; tho' also originally sold as unpainted crystal as well. Here is one of the better links regarding Goofus:

    Goofus? Really?

It's just about the silliest brand name, if that is what it is, that I have ever seen.

Barring toys for very small children.

Goofus Glass is a collector name not the makers name. This is very common with glass, when folks did not know the OMN they used what they thought was descriptive. I do not know what the various makers called this decoration.

Tallcakes, I book marked your link, very interesting history on Goofus phpqyrmfBAM.jpg :)

I have seen these candy containers in clear quite frequently. Then I found this and it had a pinkish white cold flaky paint all over it. I took it home and used a fine steel wool pad to remove all the gaudy paint. So was this also Goofus?

Just a similar process since Jeannette did cold paint much of their glass like this. I have a couple of Jeannette pieces that were cold painted and the painted finish is somewhat fragile. These are not considered Goofus tho'. Goofus is much more elaborate with solid colored finishes and often a gold base paint.

    Hi Shiloh,
Your candy dish is called a wedding box. In Shell Pink it is beautiful. Shell Pink is a soft solid glass pink which Jeannette only made in 1957-1958. Wedding box is what Jeannette called them.

LOL! This thread took on a new life since I logged out last night!
Dugan Morning Glories pattern it is. I was wondering if it's considered EAPG. Thanks for that info TallCakes.
