    Happy to join the forums! My name is Mat and I'm in Pittsburgh, PA. I work for a diamond business and come across a lot of really beautiful antique and vintage jewelry. Some of it is bound for the refinery (!!) and I have the happy job of saving it from that terrible fate.

    I'm pretty new at this and am learning all the time. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for you pros out there. Hopefully I can contribute and help others as well. I'm also excited to just share some of our finds.. I know I get a kick out of seeing what mysteries come through our door and I'm sure some of you will as well!

    Oooo , pretty shiny things ! Love the ring on the left , looks deco to me , the one on the right looks victorian . I cant believe people scrap such lovely things . Oh , and welcome !

    Hi Aquitaine! Yes, my current avatar is an Italian "Etruscan Revival" charm from the 1950s. It's 18K gold and features faceted garnets and a moonstone on the bottom.
