Hopefully, you can see/open attachment. Still have trouble posting.
Couple things on these. They are Sheffield, but I can find nothing about or like them. I originally thought they were a set, but the pattern # ? on the shaker is one number different. Also, originally thought they were real old like most of the stuff, but the tops screw on and off and the pattern seems more modern. Wondering if they may have been a wedding gift to my folks in 1941? Finally, what is the use/name of the big Shaker? Sugar? Powdered sugar? TIA

The marks on both items are for the same maker - Lawrence B. Smith Co. of Boston, MA. No doubt made for them in Sheffield, England (a fair number of US makers and retailers had this done "to impress.") 20th century before they went out of business in the late 50's. Could very well have been a gift in 41.

I believe they are part of the same design group, with the different numbers assigned to different sizes. I can see relative sizes, but nothing about how tall (or short) they are, so it's hard to say what the use was for the larger one.

Thank you! The large shaker is 71/2 " tall.

Wow - that's a big one. Probably for sugar.
