   I would think that the overlay was put later as there is full decoration underneath. Any suggestions on origin and age?

   My guess would be a 60s take on a Victorian bracelet. The hardware is post-WWII without a doubt, but the style is roughly more 1890s Art Nouveau than 1960s.
