Japanese Dressers Help Needed

    Trying to figure out exactly what I have here and the value of them. Any help would be great thank you

    The dresser on the right is very detailed in work. The scenes are of warriors fighting.

    Do these say Japan on them anywhere? It's just that those warriors don't particularly look like Samurai. Do you think those might be carver's initials, J.D., on the one top? No idea really. Just asking questions. What does the carving look like on the other?

    Those look to me to be more likely of Hong Kong origin, in the "Oriental" taste, for the export market. Probably between the late-1940s and the 1970s. Lots of furniture very similar to that ended up on the West Coast of the US, in cities with strong ties to Hong Kong (particularly San Francisco and Seattle).
