    Costume for certain. The gold is gold-tone and not really meant to look like the real thing. The stones are glued in glass, and there isn't a soldered join to be seen; the real thing, in a piece this size, would be all soldered together. I don't think it's an old one; a good look at the clasp would help figure out how old it is and maybe who did it.
