    Hi all.
I found this desk in a thrift shop (I'm in southern New England). I had to have it. I have no need for it. Just love it. I've never seen anything like it and I can't find anything like it on the web. But I did find this forum in my searching. Hoping someone around here might be able to offer info. If it's nothing of value, I will probably paint it.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Plenty of furniture brainiacs here will look. Yeah, don't paint... YET!
I'm not furniture-smart, but I actually get sort of a deco vibe as opposed to fifities. Let's see what the experts say.

Then again... found this 50s blonde...

I didn't realize the photo's would be like that. I just clicked upload file. I guess there is show full option. Would you like me to re-upload them?

okay, I am on the same track... my searches let me to art deco and atomic 50's. But I also wondered about the 80's.
I searched blond desk for every decade. Using g00gle. I didn't think to use another search engine.

I don't need them now but next time please. Not so bad to look at them on a computer but many of us use phones as well and you have to open and close each one. :p

    Your welcome.

You'll have to fill and reskin the top or fill and paint it all or fill and paint a border or fill and gold leaf a border.

I would guess 50's also. At this moment, I'm setting at a 50's desk. Mine has the blonde faux veneer with the long legs, two drawers. I simply love it. Perfect for my monitor and keyboard.

You can get wax fillers for filling missing bits in wood, they come in lots of different wood shades.

DIY shops and Amazon have them.

50s for sure. This would sell better painted in my neck of the woods but is really in pretty good condition other than that chip. Some locations might prefer original. If for yourself, paint away.

So it's decided. The desk is from the 50's. And I should feel free to paint it. It is for me but I know it would sell better in my area if painted.
Thanks everyone. There are a great bunch of people here.
Now to decide on the color...
