I'd be more on scratching my back with it...
I love my back scratcher, it stays on my night stand!

Yes, put it on ebay, as it's primarily serious collectors that buy these. It really doesn't matter if it looks ratty. They are a part of jewelry history much like the rabbit's foot and the memorial jewelry. The Scotch and the Irish didn't always take all the jewelry they made to the assayer as they didn't like paying taxes to the English crown. Ergo, no date, purity, manufacturers marks.

Nice, a £45 profit, and K's has a nicer mount, an additional beasty and it is 15ct.

Ahem. Grumpy person of serious Scottish ancestry here.

It's only the drink, that's Scotch, never the person. We are Scottish, as a description or Scots as a group.

The lack of assay mark thing wasn't political, and was also done by many English makers. Too mean to pay. Plus, it was exempt below a certain weight, which that thing may well be.

    Aye.
When I was working up there a couple of years ago, I received expenses for hotel and breakfast.
Instead of ordering a Full English it was a Big Sco'ish.
