Large Brass Bell. Train, Ship, or Fire Truck?

    I purchased this large brass bell and am trying to figure out what it was made for and how old it might be. Approximately 20" tall by 15" diameter. Thanks!

    Train bells have to pivot back and forth. I don't see that here.

    Ship bells typically have the name of the ship on it. Don't see that, either.

    I reckon it's for a firetruck.

    You mean the stamped bit that starts with 10\28 D 80 or someplace else?

    Train Bell... Fire Truck bells are stationary and a rope moves the clapper ..... unless it was some sort of home made Fire rig ...... Super nice !
