What a nice welcome! Iam feeling a bit frustrated and overwhelmed so looking forward to some help. I Am trying to identify the purpose of this utensil or actually a thing about them. They are 3" long, no markings. I have 12, 6 men and 6 women. The male just sits, the woman carries a pail on her back.

Well, I tried to upload and picture is too large. Will have to go figure that out. Stay tuned.

Thanks King. I could not get that to work either. Sigh. I am using my iPad and may have to send to desktop and try from there.

I don't need any help on this one, but still working on how to post and some of you seem to really appreciate stuff so thought you might like this picture. A tea set given to my grandparents when they retired from the Army in 1931. I was recently able to return it to his regiment, which was their wish. tea service final.JPG

Cute little cocktail or buffet picks, Noswar. The "woman" appears to be holding something on her head, is that right?

    Somewhat related story.
I was exposed to moving company's auctions when a GF's parents took us with them to one.
They bought a large box, the short type to hang clothing in, not the dress/coat one, and some smaller boxes which we did as well.
Arriving home they put theirs in the middle of the room and had me go at it.
Upon opening it I found it to be filled with balled up clothing. :(
    ~
    So it seemed.....
    ~
Pulling out a wad of clothes I noticed it was heavy...
    ~
All packed in clothes within this box was a silver tea service! :)
    ~
I don't recall what the GF's had in it but mine had a framed, hand written/drawn and colorful, proclamation from the mayor of LA pronouncing a certain day Little Anthony and the Imperial's day. :)
LOVE them and I still have this. :)
    ~
p.s. Her Dad was a sheet metal guy who made a really cool, no pun intended...fan shroud for my '69 Nova SS and is why I got into metal work.
Her Mom could work on my car's electrical system and installed my open frame 4 track player...yes...4 track! Later she replaced it with an 8 track open frame unit.
They bred Doxies which were fun to have around. :)
I was drafted and the GF decided she couldn't/wouldn't wait for me to get back from Navy boot camp. :p
I miss her parents more. ;)

Yes, it is a pail on her back. My grandfather was stationed in the phillipines in the early 1900 and o have wondered if they might be from there. I will try some additional searches using cocktail buffet picks. Thanks!

They might very well be from there. Another possibility is South America.
