Friedman Brothers

Hello everyone! I need advice on a large Friedman Brothers couch and armchair that I have inherited from a friend's estate.

The couch is labeled Friedman Brothers, Brooklyn (? not looking right at tag right now!). It's gold silk covered, comes in two 4.5 foot sections. Has some staining and a couple tears on the seat which hide pretty well when you flip the cushions over. I'll try to find some pictures to add to this thread in a minute.

The armchair is matching to the couch in design but with orange silk cushions instead of gold. Breathtaking.

They are absolutely beautiful, but they are too nice for me to keep at this time in my life. I'm 30, moving in to my first house, and I need furniture that can take a beating .

I have seen that some Friedman Brothers pieces can sell for decent money. Do any of you have any thoughts on this or knowledge of how I could proceed?

Not familiar with the brand and hard to tell anything without pictures. Despite displaying well, any damage to the upholstery will negate a lot of the value. People want perfect and nobody wants to do or pay for upholstery these days. They would have to be pretty special to get good money for them if they need upholstery.
