When I moved into my house some old family stuff was still there. I want to say the table is Rockford and early 1900s, hutch being the same. The hutch is 2 pieces and I believe the top originally had legs that were cut off.

The other 2 pieces I no nothing about. Locks are working and not decoration. Mid century modern is more my style and since no other family members want these I'd like to get an idea as to what they may be worth before letting them go.

    Thank you all in advance!

Hutch definitely looks like marriage of the 2 pieces. Last piece - is there any way to take a picture of the top of it showing the mirror?
Dovetail constructions looks to be machine cut in uniformity so I'm guessing 20-30's for the last 2 pieces.

The first 2 pieces would have been late 1800s or very early 1900s going by what I know from family members. Here's a picture of the mirror.

That is uniquely different - wonder if that was an added piece also? But that beveled mirror sure does remind me of early 1900's.
I would get some walnut (even though your furniture is made from oak) Danish Oil and wipe/rub down all the pieces you have - You will be amazed at how they look after.

Table and chairs are late teens/20s. Hutch is a marriage of a buffet that has been cut down with a china cabinet on top of it that has also been cut down. The buffet is 20s-30s. The china cabinet is a decade or two older. The dresser is probably turn of the century or just a bit earlier. The tall chest is circa 1910. I find it the most interesting piece of all with its arts and crafts influence. All pieces are oak. The last two chests appear to be English. The other pieces might be as well but there is not enough visual information to go on with them.

A little update on the hutch. The 2 pieces are meant to go together and the top did not have legs to begin with. They both have the same tag (although unreadable) as shown in the photos. I also found my grandfathers name carved in the back followed by "born may 31 1919" which helps with the time period. IMG_2276.jpg IMG_2278.jpg IMG_2281.jpg

I've tried searching for similar keys and drop pulls on this piece but no luck.

A bit of an update. I've picked up a Mid Century Kent Coffey dining set so the table and chairs have to go. Am I asking too much at $400 for the set on craigslist? Found a tag on the table. 00W0W_lpmxwjr8pn1_1200x900.jpg

That style key is sometimes called an Owl Head/Bow Bronzed Barrel key. I have a couple of them. Back when, I posted about it on the eBay Antique board. I believe Greg replied with something like "owl headed key is the match to the original one on my 1860 empire desk." af (a knowledge key person said something like "fairly typical 19th, early 20th C" key."

This probably has nothing to do with your Rockford National furniture, but thought I'd mention it. I found a John Cox in Utica, NY from 1882 to 1912+ involved with furniture. He first worked for a furniture store in Utica and on the death of the owner (1887) took over as manager of the store for the estate. c1890 he and an associate took over the store naming it Remmer & Cox. c1896 Remner left the business and the store became John Cox & Co. He opened a branch store in 1910. That label pictured in message #14 says "Jno. Cox Utica, NY" from Rockford National Furniture Co. in Rockford, Illinois. I believe it would be unusual for a manufacturer to ship furniture directly to a buyer/person. They would ship furniture to furniture stores where a person would buy it.

History of Oneida County., New York from 1700 to..., published 1912, Page 26, "John Cox":

I think you are OK for an asking price. This is particularly true if you have leaves for the table. As Komo said, it gives you a bit of room to come down if necessary.

This is very interesting! This piece was originally purchased in Utica and is currently in my home only 10 miles away. I actually work only a few blocks away from the original location of that store.
