I ran across this child's chair at a local sale. Construction seems unusual to me because of the front legs being shaved down and bent over to form arms.

Is this a rare construction technique, or have I just not looked at enough antique chairs??? Thanks!

It is a bit unusual. For some reason, I am thinking Scandinavian but could be wrong.

Thank you so much--I thought it a bit unusual also....someone suggested Amish origin, but I'm really not sure.

Looks beautifully handmade, I wonder if Amish might be the origin as well. Haven't seen anything like it before. It is very attractive.
