No, they are not silver plated and made just from some metal. All of them from: Metal Bahia Brazil Penca de Balangandan Charm / Pendant / Necklace (Something like this :joyful:).
Edit: Oops... I know only about smaller size, but anyway big of them from the "same story". :joyful:

Interesting thread. I would not have guessed what they were.

Weird about Best Answer not showing up here. It does appear on other threads - look at "Small Oriental Teapot."

There was a discussion sometime in the past couple weeks about why it is not used much. Maybe there's a glitch on the forum platform that is affecting whether it's available or not. I know it isn't a case of only being available to the person who started the thread, although it can only be used once per thread. So many times, the "answer" turns out to be a collaborative effort, and to be "fair," it would be preferable to recognize the multiple people who contributed to the result IMHO.

I agree with Bakersgma about Quote ( So many times, the "answer" turns out to be a collaborative effort, and to be "fair," it would be preferable to recognize the multiple people who contributed to the result IMHO.) In this post the best answer are wanttoknow, Ladybranch, Brenda Anna Mean Time I am trying to Contact some museums in Brazil to get more information about the size. i want to verify the answer that Brenda Anna gave about being hung in a doorway. will post in info that I receive.

Well... What "Best Answer" are you talking about if there is NO ONE "Like" to ANYBODY? :joyful:

Huh? There should be a place to click beneath each reply that says "Best Answer." It has nothing to do with "Liking" as post. I can Like what someone has said, but not necessarily think it is the "Best Answer" to the questions posed by the person who started the thread.

Actually I was looking to select you for the ( best answer ) but that option was not available. I was going to select Wanttoknow for best answer because she was the first to give an answer that lead to Identifying what I thought were maybe Christmas Ball as African Brazillian Slave charms and an image of small version of this type of charm that was worn on the body. then ladybranch contributed those two wonderful links. Then Brenda Anna Brought up that they might have been hung over a door (make a lot of sense).

So the conversation between me and Bakersgma was about choosing who should get the best answer if only one can be selected. would it make more sense to be able to select more than one best answer if more than one answer leads to solving the mystery and i of the item in question. Furthermore should the poster be able to select his or her own answer if they contribute to ID's the item.

@Mugzinnys, please relax.... We are joking here. This forum is not a Corporate Board meeting. :joyful: Plus I already know, that only @KingofThings understand MY English. :brb::brb::brb::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
About etsy link for "Antique.... Very Old... 1800s ::hilarious::hilarious:...$600.00... Sorry, but not Item from that link, not yours are not Antique or Very Old and of course not 1800s. I think the only Blind Antiquarian with Alzheimer syndrome could buy that Item from etsy for $600.00 and only because already: Doesn't understand, Doesn't see and Doesn't remember. :joyful:

It not the money, it like these are sacred item, used to psychologically influence and control another human being. They are evil if they were given to slaves as a rewards for being a good slave. That my opinion of these items, I do not know how you feel about them. At first I wanted to keep them for myself, but after learning some of what is written of their history, the luster, I seen at first has faded. It like reading the beautiful life of a slave through the eyes of the oppressor. Reading between the lines, something just does no add up with this story.

As far as the price goes , it's what a buyer is willing to pay to own a piece of African, Brazilian,Portuguese history, weather it's good or evil.
    Peace:angelic:
