Can anyone tell me what exactly this is????

Was going through my father's thing as he passed away last month and happened to come across this. What is it? Does anyone know anything? I have tried researching but it has no wording on it at all. I do however think it is a keychain of some sort. Thanks in advance.

Size? Does seem to be a fob of some sort. I don't think the top part goes with it. It is different material, more utilitarian, and connected with a cheap ring.

Seems to be a small piece 1-2 inches in width and lengh

 

There is also a coat of arms on the back side but i could not get that pic to download on here for some reason

My WAG of the Day - depicts a Royal Couple of some degree and the COA on the reverse would be theirs. Perhaps a souvenir of their ascension to a throne?

I'm not good at heraldry and the happy pair don't look familiar. But hang on because there will be someone here who can figure it out eventually.

 

So who are those two guys? I don't recognize them. The faces are so generic that I wonder if they're not actual guys but just representative characters... like for a group or entity...

Yours appears to be Juan Carlos and his wife, Sofia. Looks similar to this item from eBay.

Good find Fig!! I have been looking for about 10 mins when I noticed you IDed it. I wasn't sure what was in the 2nd quadrant of the shield whether a lion rampant or a horse. The chain with pendant is the Order of the Golden Fleece, Roman Catholic Order of Chivalry, which probably means not a Great Britain COA. With the crown, golden fleece and if lion rampant it just about had to be top royalty.
