    Hello,

Purchased this fine little item today because I hadn't seen the symbol on the
Marine Corps Pendants before. I was assuming it was late Victorian but I may be wrong. Possibly WW1 Era?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you in advance!

    @ScanticAntiques

Is the reverse side of yours inscribed: Fidelity - Zeal - Obedience ?
    Is there a name engraved?

Since yours has the pendant bail/loop thingy, it probably dates pre-1935 according to the Wiki page. I assume what they are calling a 'clasp' is actually the attached loop that the jump ring goes through.

Both of the pics Wikipedia provides show drilled pieces. Yours is different and older, I'm guessing.

Those are cool! I'd speculate those two are U.S. Navy.

@KingofThings would probably know right of the top of his head.

I'll do a search in a little while if he doesn't show up soon.

Aww Thank you!!! I don't know much about pins! I normally collect photos and ephemera so these are sorta not in my "normal" collectors zone lol I just thought they looked older and cool :)

The first one definitely looks like a deep sea diving badge.

The anchor is Chief. Two stars Master Chief.
One star Senior Chief. No stars Chief.
Master Chief is the highest enlisted rank in the USN.
    -
And Chiefs run the navy not officers. Officers know squat. ;)

Diving officers are probably in charge of the divers and is a Master to get to that position.

This is why they are gold vs silver.
