    Hi,
Since eBay is thrashing me again, I have a request. If you remember eclectic_seller_too just moved from WY to ME. I can not give him/her the directions on how to get here. Would someone please extend an offer to him/her?
    Thanks,
    greg

They shut mine down when I got slapped and banned from the boards. I can't email or pick up messages.

Did you do something greg? You naughty boy! ! !:joyful::woot::p;)

    Hi Book,
It seems that someone read my messages and shut me down for giving out info about this place. Was told I was not allowed to use ebay messages to ask people to leave.

Ooooooooohhhh - inviting them here is not the same as asking them to leave there. What jealous curs!!!!

    Greg,
I havn`t been able to use the messaging system for about 6 months after getting banned for ever, LOL
However if you don`t sign in and just click the members "Items for sale" then click their ID, to the right it says "contact"
You are allowed 5 emails per 24 hours.

thanks for that contact tip. An eBay moderator removed my signature yesterday after posting something about the links provided on my website. I've had the same signature image for years with a link to my website with no problems. I just waited a couple hours and edited my signature to replace as it was; so far no more issues.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I was wondering whether they would be doing something like that if we sent messages through the boards. Oh, well... it's obvious that they are imposing a stronger rule.

Does anyone know how to contact wiscbirddog? He/she asked for info on the rant thread last night but has no items for sale to use for contact.

Or perhaps someone has already been in touch?

You can click on their Feedback number on the boards, or do the following and then go to the next paragraph below.

On the Advanced search page to the left there is a search called Find A Member. click on that, type in their user name, then also you'll have to type in a 6-digit Captcha type of code that is used to discourage spammers. Then, when the search result comes up, click on the number in parentheses that will go to their feedback page. ( you can also click on the feedback number from their eBay boards user name).

On the right is a link that says "Contact member." You will get to a page that says Select an item. Under the link is a check box that says "This is not about an item."

Click Continue and there is a place to type a message. Once again the 6-digit number will be required.

    Morning, Fig. :)

I do know how to do that, but I don't want to have the same issue Greg has experienced. ;)

You could always send them a message and instead of inviting them here directly just tell them "I have something important to tell you via email, please tell me your email address" and neither eBay nor Lithium can police email.

    Morning Peter -
They do indeed police your email that is generated from their boards.
You may not put an email address in your message to a member. It won't post. I also tried spacing, with dot com and that was kicked back. I did eventually manage to disguise it, but have not heard back from that member, so do not know if it went through.

In fact all contact I did through the board messages have not been answered. But the ones through Contact Member from the ebay pages have.

Peter - Thank you I saw your answer on the Contact Member thread.
I will take you up on the invitation to try it out. Will be leaving shortly, so will do it late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Thanks again for everything - this forum is really beginning to shape up nicely.

Yes, Greg said his problem occurred through the board message system, not through the general messages.

I've sent messages through the board and at least some are getting through as I've heard back from a few boardies. I thought they wanted us to take our chats and discussions off the boards so aren't we obliging? We're not diverting sales away from ebay (they seem to be doing a pretty good job of doing that themselves).
