Signed Asian Brass Vase

Hi, any thoughts on this vase? It is 11 inches tall, fairly heavy, a little over 3 pounds, and has an Asian character mark on the underside. Any idea of age or country of origin?

I think I asked about this a few years ago on the ebay antiques board, so sorry for the repeat.

I'd think Japanese. Maybe prior to 1900's ?
I find it really nice. In my opinion if you decide to Ebay-it, you'll do well even with no ID on the seal.

Here's a pair with a different finish, the auction house didn't know the mark either.
They sold for $375. last month.

Sorry for my wrong expectations. I thought it had more value.

 

anundverkaufen your examples may have brought more because they were bronze.

I think drg642's are brass.
But I agree with the Japanese Meiji period.

I saw others similar made of brass with the thin handles attributed to the same.
