Old wooden small cabinet with one piece curved doors and walls.

It is 19 ½” H x 16”x10. Sorry it is dusty. Didn’t clean yet. Maybe it is very (!) Antique dust…. Thank you for any information.

 

I honestly don't know so please wait for a more educated opinion...but ..I get the feeling that it is trying to look older than it really is. Just a guess

 

I'm going to say Indonesian fantasy item.....& not that old.......
The metal hardware looks recent.....and the colors look forced and the wood looks low quality..........but that's just my opinion.

 

@Ruedi, @komokwa I also was thinking it is not very old and made probably in China.

 

I agree its not terribly old , but it is super cute and Id have bought it too .

 

What confuse me, that there was using gesso. I know gesso was used with wood for Antique Russian Icons and I am wondering why it was used for this cabinet. All tiny white spots you can see on pictures is gesso.

 

It is Asian but I don't think Chinese. Maybe Indonesian. They are known to use gesso with their carvings. I also don't think terribly old but not brand new either.
