This morning's finds were both nearly the same color :)

A smallish studio (or even student) pottery crystalline vase, and what I believe to be a 6½" copper ship's spike (stamped with "US" on one side and under its head)

l love the spike, does it have four U.S. stamps under the head?

Thanks. I can only make out two under the head - on opposing sides. Does this indicate anything?

Four under the head and one on the shank would mean from Paul Revere's mill if authentic old.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

You and your family have my heartfelt sympathies for your loss, Lloyd. It is something we all must go through, but extremely difficult none the less.

    First paragraph :
    The Greatest Find

It was Saturday July 25 2015 at about 3:15 pm. when I decided to stop at the local thrift store , the thrift store closes at 3:30 so i didn't have much time . As I was shopping around ,had picked up a few things and had them sitting on the counter ready to pay when I said to the workers " i want to check in the back department for furniture", it was in an isolated part of the store . I was walking around in the back ,I didn't see anything to buy , as i was leaving my eyes were drawn to the back of the chair and i spotted the yellow face first and then the name Picasso scrawled across the back , as i walked over to it i seen a piece of masking tape with a price tag of $5.00 written in big black marker , as i looked at the chairs front i asked the attendant " I can buy this chair for five dollars and he replied "yes" , he is a foreigner and doesn't speak English that well ,he replied " five dollars" i just about had a heart attack , i look at him and replied "you know it says Picasso on it ?" , he replied "Yes it says Picasso on it", and chuckled . As fast as I could carried it to the front .I paid for my stuff and left the store . i felt leaving the store lol ,I felt like a crook and was going to be told to put it back it's going into the auction .
