Does anybody know much about commemorative royal collectibles? I bought this today from a car boot sale and can't find a similar one online - original box, 1937 'Coronation Souvenir' of King George and Queen Elizabeth plate, fork, spoon and hand sewn hankerchiefs with issue number (No642). Would love to know if it's got any value :)
    Thanks in advance image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.png

There is a market for royal related stuff like this, and the set is unusually complete and original, but there were a large number of different items made by anybody who hoped to make quid or two out of patriotic fervour.

I'd sell this on ebay as an auction item and let it find its own level. It might make £20 to £30, something in that region.

This set seems to have been made to be given to children. The original owner may have kept it for years, died, and the relatives car booted it with all the rest of grand-dad's 'old junk'.

    I agree with AF.
Very common, however not always complete like yours.

It's better than the average souvenir, so you might get that £20 mark. Ordinarily the plates are about a quid.
