The focus isn't very crisp. Does it say Lane 06?
Studio pottery, looks like it could be kaolin clay.
Do a search and look at hare's fur glaze.
    That's all I've got at the moment.:joyful:

I think I'm reading it as Young. You might also use weed vase/pot as search terms.

    Thanks Laura and Slowly,
I haven't found anything definitive under your suggestions so far.
Maybe I'll try to get better images of the signing. However, it seems whatever angle you view it from, the lettering looks different and a little nonsensical.
Here's the closest thing I have found to my vase (scroll down to mid-page). Same size, shape, and similar glaze. : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-S...ip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#shpCntId
It has a different signature and a different clay though.

From the 2nd pic I'm seeing Durent or Durant followed by numbers such as 62, 6e or 29 if turned around. There is a Durant Kilns that signed Durant with a large "T". It seems a Leon Volkmar and a Jean Durant Rice were the potters. Nowwww I certainly am not positive of what I'm seeing!!!

Click under the pic "Read Appraisal Transcript" or click "Watch" for video:

Have included a couple of edited versions of the marks that really aren't any better than your pic.

I have no idea what it says, maybe Chuck can get a sharper shot of the sig. I rotated it and enhanced the sig a bit but other than the first part looks like 29 I'm not sure this is any better.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I sharpened and minimized a couple of 'distractions'.....extra dark spots/shadows & came up with what I saw as "Glame" or "Glane"???? Def looks like a capital G though......

Thanks. I wonder if the underlying concentric rings under the signature can tell us anything.
