    Hi again,
I have this lovely "quaint" print that I would love to know more about. The frame is lovely too. The print itself measures:11.5" x 14" (not including the mat). I have not opened the back as it SEEMS that is in the original frame and has a sealed back.

There doesn't seem to be any showing signature.

it is a charming scene of two young ladies chatting with a capped fellow who is sitting on steps. The closest lady and the gent are smiling. He wears slippers; perhaps it is his home? There are empty buckets in the scene. It is charming, "comfortable", pleasing, old world, and inviting... what ARE they chatting about? I "feel" like it is a French or possibly Italian scene.

If need's be; I could open up the back; but I really hated to.

So does anyone have any light they can shine on this great print?
    Looking forward to any info!

Thank you, Leslie at the Northern Lights Lodge

It's a little genre scene. Would you be kind enough to post an in-focus photograph of both the front and back including frame? (And if there are any stickers, labels or handwritten notations, please post a close-up of those too.) The quality of this photograph makes it difficult to evaluate.

    Hi Debora,
Thanks for your response! There is truly nothing that I can see written on it - no stickers or labels. I had trouble getting any with out reflection - but hopefully, these are better! Hope that helps! PS. I love the girls cute little mule shoes...darling!

Thank you. And next time you'll know the types of photographs that are most helpful. In the meantime, you've got an identification of painter from the knowledgable person above. According to the internet, the title of your work is "Gossips at the Well."
