    Thanks millcove, king and evelyb!
Yes, I had a netsuke get pulled last year, very shortly after listing it. I really don't know why some get pulled and others don't?? But I'm too afraid to try that again.
What really stinks is, I think, after researching a bit, that this bangle would probably be worth $300., or more......if I could just sell the darn thing....:(:(:arghh::arghh:

I've never had much luck with that. It's good for lawn mowers, but jewelry would make me a bit nervous. A good jeweler with an estate section might be a better bet. The main problem with selling that over state lines is the lack of paperwork. I just bought a pair of really nice carved ivory earrings in the shape of flying ducks. No paperwork. They may end up just staying here.

Today's haul. The beads are begging for a restring, fine since someone else redid them first. The ducks are elephant ivory. The flower is handmade and tests as sterling. The dangly ball thing is chrome, but it's on an 835 silver chain. The cross is costume but pretty. The prize is the 10k necklace my flash washed out.

    Great finds everyone.

That Dansk set was a wonderful find at a super duper great price.

Today I hit three tag sales and spent (drumroll) $2.50. Nothing worth showing. A friend's daughter scored both volumes of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, but she doesn't know it yet. For a dollar.

Thank you pearls in bloom! I agree I really like the Dansk set and wish I had the kitchen to go with it!
Evelyb I like that sterling flower its very cute.
Komokwa that is a good suggestion and I will look around on there a bit. Last year I ended up just taking my little ivory netsukes to my local auction house. They sure didn't bring much there, so I doubt I'll do that again.

The marks were pretty well illegible. If it's not, it's a clone.

Here are some of the goodies that I brought home the last while. The chair is a keeper for me - (excuse the cat, seems whenever something new comes in the house one of them has to investigate)
ship in a bottle, I think is older, Texas Instruments SR-50, looks unused, teddy bear made out of real fur, Kellogg's Corn Flakes clock - dumbest clock ever, the alarm is a rooster crowing, silver-plate child mug with a pixie/elf and a pair of shakers with insects - I think Japan.

I saw this desk yesterday at a very nice thrift near me... But if I bought it it would have to go into storage. :(
Love the ship and clock. I think that calculator is the model I first had...still have along with others, some new or at least appearing to be for they're in their boxes too. Others loose but also like new.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Had a wonderful friend who made gorgeous teddy bears from real fur ONLY (frequently imported) ......she was in demand and sold them for HUNDREDS..... mostly fairly smallish bears.....she went way too young......yours, cxgirl, made me think of her!!
