Green Art Glass Dish - Cigar Ashtray?

    Hello everyone! I'm not quite sure what to make of this item. It's almost 6" across and 2" tall. Base collar measurement is 2 1/4". The base collar is ground. It's very heavy. It does not react to black light. The best I can figure is that it's a cigar ashtray. Would appreciate any help on manufacturer, age or use. Thanks much!

    I'm wondering if that bottom would have set in a smoking stand?
