What is currently your most long-time antique / decor / furniture possession?

I mean which one you've owned longest?

And exactly when did you buy / get it?

p.s. I have aquired much older things since then though.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

** This post edited out because it included a personal possession that is not an antique, and won't be one for a long time yet.***

Let's stick with antiques in the replies -- I misunderstood.

I have some clothes and accessories that I've had since 2011.. and a toy or two from when I was a child, but those aren't antiques.

Do you want things we've had since 1915?

So you mean the antique that we've had the longest? An antique is generally defined as being 100 years old or more. I'd have to say that I don't know the answer to that, but have been collecting antique photographs since the 1990s, so for now I'd say probably one of those.

    No.... ;) :)
You stated "you've owned" and I wanted to be sure because how many of us actually own 100 year old items...especially for some time. Maybe more than I may think though.
My oldest item is about 300 years old and have had it about 8 years or so but I didn't see that as fitting your request. ;)

I have this Japanese china tea service which has been in my family since the early 30`s, it was brought back from Japan in the late 20`s by my uncle, a merchant seaman.
Its not antique yet, someone on the eBay board dated it to 1927-28.

I also have my paternal grandfathers silver pocket watch hallmark dated 1905 and inscribed "For 5 years perfect attendance 1909 " (School)
His gold wristwatch that is a little battered from around WWI which travelled the world with him for over 60 years when he was also a merchant seaman.
    Both still work.
