Hand painted bisque Little boy vase. for ID help.

    This little guy stands 5" tall. I had thought at first it was broken but the pillar on the back is made to look broken.
    There is a mark on the lower bottom looks like D P then a number 424 and Germany.
    Bottom is unmarked.

    Maybe a spill vase made to hold spills or matches to light fires...

    Thank you all very much. I knew he had to be an older piece. Now trying to figure out who made him.

    Found it. Carl Schneider/ Grafentha Germany. mark used 1879-1886
