Does anyone know what this symbol might mean

    Sorry this is another friend, and so far only pic I have, It almost looks like a rosary, but has different amount of beads, interspaced with an oblongstone, all slight variations of this color, M y friend who is in her 30,s says it belonged to her grandmother, It might have come from Mexico, I am not sure f stone, but it is very pretty, as usual any help appreciated

    "all seeing eye" motif,somewhat more common Catholic symbol in Europe.

    It's not upside down on purpose,it has just twisted in the mounting.

    The All Seeing Eye aka Eye of Providence
    The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol showing an eye often surrounded by rays of light or a glory and usually enclosed by a triangle. It represents the eye of God watching over mankind (or divine providence).
