Doesn't look to me to be out of line with David Seitzinger's work. If you can contact him, might be worth the effort.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

Agreed! His more valued subjects are frogs and flying machines, but anything "kinetic" (like the butterflies) might show his touch. His earlier works were smaller. He is very productive and also apparently very accessible. I heard that he did public speaking and public art projects in his native Erie, PA not long ago. I think he lives there now. He collaborates with his son David... should be easy to find a contact point. Good luck!

    EDIT
*IF* this *IS* an early, atypical piece, it might be pretty valuable. Sadly, I found a current-day signature, and it is not similar, but hey, maybe in early days... who knows?

Those look like Isabel Bloom sculptures. But as far as I know, no one has ever made them in metal.

Isabel Bloom sculptures are cast concrete treated with a weathered bronze finish.

How are these attached to the slab of stone? Glued? Bolted? A picture of the bottom would be nice.

Did you ever find out who the artist was? I have a sculpture with the same signature on it that I am trying to research.

I think it is ARLENE SEITZINGER from New Mexico.

I found an Arlene Seitzinger who exhibited at the University Of Chicago, "Renaissance Society" in the 1950`s...I purchased this in Chicago...Likely the same person...I cannot find pictures of her work?

Yes, I read that she moved from Chicago to Alburquerque.
