Looking for some info on some antique dressers I have. I have no history on any of them and two of the three I have been using as my dressers since 1998. The third has been the spare room dresser. None of them match each other so I know they weren't a set, and all have original mirrors. New living arrangements may not allow for all of them to come with me & trying to decide which to part with has been very difficult. Any suggestions from anyone else here that may be able to help?

These are nice too and I'm sorry you have to make any of these decisions. :(

Yeah it's not easy but unfortunately necessary at this time. I just keep saying "what I'm getting is better than he what I'm giving up", it helps a little :) I want to make sure they go to good homes of people that will appreciate them as I have, but if I absolutely have to sell them I don't want to under sell them either. The other pieces I have a little bit of back story on but this & one chair that I haven't posted yet I have no clue. Just that they came from my Grandmother's childhood home.

Brad will give you good info when he pops by.
Others too... They're all out and about having a life right now. ;)

Id guess the 1st one is 1930s and the other 2 are 1870s . Brad is the date man so hold on , he will be along eventually .

I was going to say the first is 1920-30s
    The two oak are 1880s-1900.

I haven't looked at all of your posts.
So far the dining table and chairs, and the cedar chest are in need of repair/refinishing.

The Jenny Lind bed is the one you should keep.

The dressers are nice, and here in CA in a store would only go for 2-300. Unfortunately their values have dropped from a few years ago.

    Thanks Bev
    1st looks like pine
Other two are part of the American Oak era. Late 1800- early 1900s.
The last one is considered a gentleman's dresser. May be called by a different name.

1st one looks like pine so I wouldn't mind letting that one go but the second one is tiger maple and a definite keeper if you are able to.

If I could only keep one, it would be the 2nd one, for sure!

First is 20s-30s and pine as mentioned. Not a lot of value there but a useful size. Second is circa 1900 and looks to be quartersawn oak. however, I think you will find it is actually false grain and printed on the wood. This was a low price alternative to good wood from this era. The last is the best of the bunch, a circa 1890 gentleman's dresser. Can't tell the wood for sure but looks like it could be ash.

The last is my favourite & the one I have used as my dresser since getting it. And probably the one piece I would never part with

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Sounds like you have probably made your decision, then.
