1897 - Small Oval Box with Crest - Pill Box?

    I hope someone can help me identify this item. I think it's a pill box, but I'm not sure. I would also like to know if anyone knows what the crest(?) on the box means.

    It's 39.14 mm X 31.23 mm X 13.5.

    Thanks for the quick and accurate answers. I didn't know what to call this, so I guessed at pill box. I'm glad to know that it's a "Pin Box!" Makes perfect sense with the liner.

    I'm would think it's from the 50's or '60, but if anyone knows for sure, please let me know!

    I have a few more items that I've gathered over the years. I'll be posting more soon.
