Bronze Wall Hanging Bust

Any suggestions on origin and age?

So the notch-hole in the back is to hang it?
Just guessing by the features... negroid?
That's all I got.
What does the material feel like?

 

I guess it is for hanging, what else for?
Material is copper alloy, bronze if not wrong.

 

The scarf is giving me African vibes - but no earrings...



Since the back is not very oxidized, and the front almost looks like some darkening was applied - I'm thinking it's pretty new.

BUT - I've never seen one like it, and I like it

 

Thanks for the suggestions. Oxidation depends on the conditions the piece was exposed to. I may be wrong but not every old bronze that was kept inside will be oxidized.
Applying finish on bronze is not something new, but very old technique.
But still, it could be newer.

 

You all are probably right but my first reaction was that it looks like Lenin.

I can see that! If you sell it, show it hanging so they can see it's flush with the wall. Your side image looks like the back has an angle and would stand out funny?

 

What?! No way!!! OUR Lenin was pritier!.... Though he (Lenin) in Mavzolei looks almost like that Mask.

 

Actually for me this mask looks like a China man: Forehead and Cheeks are same like some Chinese Men Figurines.
