Trying to clean out so I can downsize and I found these in a box in the basement. I know the approximate age but I don't remember seeing these before. The "works" remind me of cast iron oil lamp wall holders but I doubt if they have anything to do with oil lamps. The knob is porcelain and the handle moves freely from top to bottom but on one side of the piece only. They are small--about 2 and 1/4" long by 3/4" 1 and 1/2" to the top of the knob. The other item really has me stumped. It's about 2 and 1/2" long with a funny end. The opposite end is rounded and has a moving piece on top. That piece is broken off. I would like to put these with other door hardware I am listing but I don't know if they are really door hardware.
    Thanks for your help.

If you can hold on for about an hour, my husband (a locksmith) will be done work for the day and I'll ask him. I think they might be for windows.

I will be happy to wait. I probably won't list them before Sunday night or Monday.
