I found this in one of the boxes of costume jewelry my mom left me - I can't get a clear picture of mark but it sure looks like Burle Marx then the number 750?
I looked him up & almost fell out of my chair from the prices they are asking!
Is it a Burle Marx ring? Are they really worth so much? What is the stone?
    Thank you in advance!

Looks like authentic, "forma livra"/free form name of the design!
    Watermelon tourmaline:cyclops:
(it seems broken and glued, or is it an illusion?)

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

If it were professionally restored/repaired, would it help with the broken fact with value???

In the 4th photo down it looks like the stone may have been glued already. You just can't fix a stone which looks like it has a crack from top to bottom.

Cha Ching! Haroldo Burle Marx! usually always 18KT gold...looks like a tourmaline, but it appears damaged:(….Still $$$ His jewelry was completely made by hand NO pre casting....so each one is just a little bit different. He did use stones with imperfections often for his free form work...but this is NOT a free form piece. It will take down value... Most likely from Brazil around 1980-89ish

Not so much the color but the "waves" in the stone?

Found this newspaper article in a box of photos - she looks older than 11 to me here (but the elephant is REALLY small!)
