Thank you all for the good wishes. Feeling much better, I think I worked through most of the worst of this.

I am loving those vintage postcards and that Canadian artist painting!!!!

Here are some more stuff I edited while down. I am so mad that I was too tired to go to this huge yearly yard sale three weeks ago.... I had the alarm set for 5:00 a.m., but I couldn't get out of bed.... I slept for 14 hours that night into morning....I got there late, nothing much left, a few sterling chains.

The last antique show I attended months ago had some fun stuff. I think this is Hawaiian black coral (but I could be wrong, if somebody knows, please correct me) with one pink coral bead, the gold beads look like 14k:

This is an Art Deco (I believe) carved galalith necklace, another thrift shop find
    Galailith Navy Necklace (640x608).jpg
This is a keeper, thrift shop find, gray freshwater pearl and I believe sterling silver bead stretch bracelet, thing is heavy
    pearl bracelet stretch (640x280).jpg
Some gifts from the sea..... the earrings at top were sold as costume, they are genuine pearls, 10K (antique show where I got the black coral, sold as costume beads). The octopussy looking earrings are genuine seed pearls, keeping, the nautilus shell? earrings are 14k, the pearl chain necklace is 14k (antique show boo boo again), the pearl pendant I got from a silver scrapper.

These are just some $5 fun finds

Thank you Evleynb, for helping me identify the Japanese glass necklace..... I looked on ebay, and there is a similar one listed, same beads!

    pearl bracelet is wild !!

black coral......endangered list i believe ....but i'd have to see it in my hand.
I had an untouched 3 inch piece in my hand many years ago.
a guy brought it back from Cuba.....and wouldn't sell it for $100......

The black one could be coral, and could be "native cut" onyx. It's hard to tell from a photo. The spacers look gold to me too. That second message is definitely galaith. Is that cameo in the lower left signed? It reminds me of a Goldette piece.

The coral? is very light and has some concentric circles around some of the drilled bead holes. There are some reddish areas on some beads, I researched and Hawaiian black coral looked like these....I will try to take some close up pics tomorrow. I thought it might be wood, but I don't think so. You can see some red on some of the beads in the pic. I think it is older, not newer dyed coral, but I am not sure. The shell cameo is Marino, I believe, I would have to get it out to check. :)

Marko, who have you been kissing? ;) I hope you feel better soon.

I found a free, rather plain, Davenport Desk on the side of the road today. It's still in the back of my car so I can't take a picture yet.

I'm amazed what some people put out on the curb. I found these a while ago. Other than some dust, these were in great condition.

    Hi,
Those two tables are gorgeous! People throw out the strangest things. I found a pile (23 pieces) of sterling silver on the trash. The woman said she was tired of polishing it. The best was years ago. An older woman passed away. Her family hired a company to unload the house. They put everything into plastic bags and put on the curb. I spent the entire weekend, dragging one bag home going through it and dragging it back to bring home another. I do not remember what all was in it but at my yard sale of the stuff I made 800 bucks. Most of the stuff was priced under a buck. That was years before the crazy 80s and 90s. I do remember a set of Cherry Blossom in green 40 pieces sold for 15 bucks. It was her "good" set.

Found this last week. It's signed with an engraved S on the bottom. It was sold as a glass candy cane but....? It's glass, but no bubbles I can find either. The white lines are internal. DSCF1429smaller.jpg

Thanks. I don't know if it's a candy cane, cane handle, umbrella handle or just decorative.
