Sorry I don't have a picture to post of them right now but I will add one later. I do have a question. I have 13 large Lismore wine glasses and then another 13 smaller Lismore glasses. They all have the Waterford etching on the foot and are all in excellent condition no chips or nics nothing. Well, maybe a little dust. Anyways, what I am wondering is when we go to sell these should I sell them all together or in two separate lots? One lot of larger glasses and one lot of the smaller glasses. Which would be better? Does it even matter? I am guessing splitting them would be the best but I just can't decided. Thanks.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

I have a cabinet full of inherited Lismore... if that's of any use, let me know. Meanwhile, I'm sorry to say I have no market-related current info.

The auction house I attend sells Waterford, especially Lismore, per piece. We have multiple people who attend regularly that this is their pattern, so the bidding can get a little heated at times.

In this instance Bill would sell choice of the wine or water goblets & the high bidder could take all 26 goblets or just the wine goblets or just the water goblets. They would pay 26 or 13 times their bid. Since the lot is so large he may let them take an even number of either style goblet, with a minimum of 4.

Thanks. That is usaully called "Times the money." I thought about it and may go that way. Thanks I may very well use this suggestion for these pieces. Good thought.

    Hi,
Lismore is my favorite pattern also. I would sell them in a "Dutch Auction". Highest bidder gets as many as they want for the price. Second highest bidder gets as many as they want and so forth. Now that you can not get replacements from Waterford, I think you will do good.

It might help if you can ID exactly each stem. Here is a pic of the many stems of Lismore showing their name, shape and quantity. Many are looking to fill out a particular stem like a claret, white wine, goblet or whatever. Clicking the following image will enlarge the pic in hopes you can read the name of each shape and size. At the moment I'll store 4 white wines for your with no storage charges!

I should have added to the above reply that the stems in the above pic aren't all in order to the chart. Also a couple aren't pictured quite right in the chart like the cocktail stems. The larger cocktail stem is a martini and the the regular cocktail isn't "V" shaped. The regular cocktail is to the immediate right of the martini, large "V" shape stem. Also I believe the rounded bottom glass just behind the shot glass is called a "Roly Poly." It isn't listed in the chart.

Also there are probably a good dozen or more Lismore stems that are not pictured in the above.

I think better sale as 4 and you will be able to get more money for 3 set / 4 pcs, than 2/6. Also after sets will be sold, it is good sale pair of big+small. It would be good set for present or just to use for one person. After I moved to US I was surprised that all sets for everything are for 4 persons here, through in Russia (and in Europe) everything for 6. It looks like some couple is inviting only one more couple for dinner... Not fun! :p

Thanks so much everyone. I promised some pictures. I was looking at the chart above. I think these are the 402 large and small but I am not positive. I need to blow that picture up and take a better look. Anyways here are the pictures.

    Hi,
I always got the tumblers. I had a set of stems but the heavy ones did the trick.

Hmmm... 502 and 402? Those stems aren't numbered in that chart. You are seeing 5oz and 4oz. The 1st pic in your reply #12 looks like it could be a claret stem. It holds 4 ozs and is just under 6" tall. The one you are holding in the 4th pic of reply #12 might be a white wine that also holds 4 oz, but is only 5 1/2" tall. You really need to see how much they hold to compare with the chart and how tall they are to compare with Lismore on Replacements. Also the shape needs to be compared.

I have 12 water goblets, 12 clarets, 10 fluted champagnes, 8 iced beverages and 8 saucer champagne/sherbets. I have a couple of the white wine, but do wish I have at least 4 more of them.

BTW to really enlarge the above chart, with the cursor hold down the "Ctrl" key and scroll the wheel on your mouse. This will zoom in out on the image.
