I agree, very cute. Probably Hollandmania rather than actual Dutch.

The house looks like a traditional holiday home in the Veluwe region in the eastern Netherlands. I have always liked that style.

The girls are dressed in a general Hollandmania look. Here is an 'analysis' for those who are interested in Dutch and other costumes:

The kissing girl is fairly consistent in her dress, mostly Volendam, Holland (western Netherlands). Her light blue apron could be from East Brabant, southern Netherlands.;)
The boys' costumes are pretty correct for Volendam. The brown should be black though.

Now for the coy girl. She really has been rummaging around in the fancy dress box.:playful:
The lace cap is from the village of Volendam. The puff sleeves are German. Over her blouse she seems to be wearing a satin bodice from the Dutch village of Urk. And over the Urk bodice she seems to be wearing a velvet bodice from Java, Indonesia.:wideyed: I have no idea where she got her apron from.:D

I'm guessing prints since I didn't see or feel brush strokes. Any other way to tell?

"Hollandmania" . . . Ah, does this mean you suspect they were made in American and date back to sometime between 1880-1920?

" . . . rummaging around in the fancy dress box." — Love the wording and the imagery it invokes, AJ!

Yes, most likely American. The original children's pictures date from that era, but they could have been reprinted and glued to a board at a later date.
I used to love fancy dress, so I remember what it was like.:)

I really love the one with the boy grinning at the little girl. He looks very naughty and she is so sweet.
I'd buy the ones of the children in a heartbeat even if they are prints and the costumes are subject to artistic impression!

Glad you enjoy it! Seems to me the little girl has a naughty look in her eyes, too, and isn't exactly posturing away from him, despite the coy pose! Maybe they even just finsihed smooching like the kids in the other photo. Lol!

That's reminded me I've got a couple of pictures of a similar ilk I must dig out. No value but again very cute.
