    To me too. Think specks are just little inclusions.

    And another vote for larimar. I'm wearing a piece myself at the moment. At least some of these were probably made where the stone originated, in the Dominican Republic. Dominican silversmiths don't always mark their stuff in any way. I have two Dominican-made pieces and neither has a mark. The keystone one has what looks like a Native American mark on the back.

    Evelyb30, yes I found that same mark on quite a few pieces that had Native American artists marks as well.
